you probably know her from her famous hit song "Put Your Records On" but I'd suggest digging deeper and listening to some of her other stuff. she has a uniquely soothing voice & i love her lyrics. not to mention the Brittish accent haha. she's just a classy lady who is extremely under-rated. oh and shes gorgeous!

how to clean?!

Since i've been to college, i've noticed that a lot of young adults CAN'T (not just won't) clean. like.. they don't know how to properly....SOO here is a helpful hint..(more to come)

the dishwasher is a misnomer. it doesn't wash you're dishes; it's more like a sterilizer. there's no little fairy that comes out of the dish soap and scrubs all the dishes with a sponge and some 'tough on grease, soft on hands' palmolive soap. there's just a bunch of hot water and the soap you (hopefully) put in sloshing around in there. SOO, get all the stuck corn flakes off your cereal bowls and remains of last night's curry chicken and sticky white rice off YOURSELF! how? with hot water, a sponge, and some 'tough on grease, soft on hands' soap. (or whatever soap you have in the kitchen) after you do this, you can put your dishes in the dishwasher and it will do the rest.

may 24th-snow

it's true. it's snowing at the moment.
but guess what!? three days until i leave p-hole and go to CALI!
i'm getting so excited. it's ridiculous. i can't wait to see my family, my cousin from NZ who's coming, my bffs, and even my dog and the daycare kids! yeah, truth. anyways, i need to do lots of studying before then on account of i have to take two quizzes today before class & two tests on wednesday(one for dance, one for history of creativity). so yeah, guess i'll get on that.
but first, (and i think it's appropriate, considering the crappy weather) a cup of Milo.

why they gotta hate?

how come everyone hates the Lakers?? shootz...its mostly Jazz fans too. theyre so bitter about the Jazz losing to the Lakers in the semi finals(which happens like every year) so they hate.
this kid in my apt complex is always over & tonight he came in & was like "are you watching the game?" & i was like "yeah why?" and he was like "can i watch it with you? i wanna see the Lakers lose so i can make fun of you" and i was like, "oh then you can leave." he proceeded to stay for another 2 and a half hours til he got the hint we didnt want him around. OH and the Lakers won. yeah okay. sorry bout it. go home, roger.













actually, you know what? roger was way cooler than this kid.
anyways...so im super excited to go home next week!! ahhh its gon be fun :) so yeah, something to look forward to!
also, starting Tahiti section tomorrow in dance...gonna sweat & look like a fool. haha uh oh. both are bad but the combo is yuck. we shall see yeah?

i am currently in the process of applying for two jobs. hopefully i get one of them and don't have to end up at Wendy's or something. but if that's what i get, so be it! i reaally need a job.

what else...i love my ward & my roommates & i'm having a good time here.

it rained today so i wore my gumboots. i went to ward mutual(random i know) and it was super fun--scavenger hunt. i ate a caramel tim tam(its been a while) with hot chocolate & slammed it! it was wonderous. i have a test in history of creativity soon & i need to study. we are doing Maori section in my dance class and it's super easy, but fun! and i am tired right now so i am going to bed. i'm sure you've noticed some changes to my blog...LIKE THE GIANT TITLE THAT SCREAMS "I LOVE MYSELF A LOT & I MAY BE A LITTLE NARCISSISTIC"

but the truth is, i'm not into the whole 'bigger the better' thing. unless we're talking about food or hair. i'm kind of into the opposite(not by any extreme tho...like not Amish people, but not super into acquiring..)

people, like myself, can say things in lots of words with lots of punctuation and big words, but what really amazes me and inspires me can usually be said in less than 10 words. OR when only and image or expression can say it all.

so, naturally, my blog will change back to normal sometime soon...its yuck. i also just wanted to see how big i could get everything to be. it's kind of ridiculous & i expected that. haha..

IN OTHER NEWS, funny story! i got 4 hrs of sleep last night, had to wake up early and take a test, study for another one, and take that test. At my second test, in the JSB, i had issues. I was super tired and kept dozing off while testing. Then, when it was time to get out, (and anyone whos been in the JSB knows) it was difficult. i had to climb over 2 people with their desks out and their backpacks on the ground and knees almost touching the seat in front of them. I got past the first one fine. THEN, i totally was like, ahhhh loss of balance ahhhh no where to put my feet ahhhh im tired and i ended up like momentarily sitting on the girls desk..? yeah i know, weird. but i was like laughing so hard kind of deliriously(like this... BAHAHA...hahahasfdndkjahfw) and i was like sorrrryyy!! and then i left and had to call rachel so we could laugh cuz i cant hold in laughter. its like sneezes. cant hold em in. sorry bout it! im like a 'let it all out' sneezer cuz i dont know how not to and it hurt when i tried to hold it in once. LOL..and speaking of sneezing, allergy season sucks! its not that bad here yet and i'm holding up, but i do sneeze more often and stuff. the white trees outside, while pretty to look at, are disgusting to smell. they're like a mixture of fish & poop & grass. idk.. but theyre nasty. pretty, but nasty. kinda like amy winehouse..wait, shes ugly and nasty. sike!

IN OTHER ACTUAL NEWS, i got a scholarship for next fall/winter! super excited & hope i do well in spring and next year and of course the following years. also, my sister-in-law Stacie is graduating this Friday!! so exciting! and also, cousin Alison(hollaaa gurl! so excited for you) is graduating! whut the whuuttt!! how cool beans is that?

so i'm like super tired still but i need to study and im really hungry as well but im not gonna eat cuz its almost 1 am..UMMMM so yeah this has been fun. catch you on the filppity flop side!

p.s. i dont like the term flip flop. prefer to say jandals or sandals or (new one from a hawaiin friend) slippers. LOL

speaking of sunshine, i tanned a little bit the other day and i'm already like 1000 times darker than the girls who have been out in the helaman grassylands everytime the suns been out this semester. well...some of them are orange but thats not even on the same color spectrum and it looks disgusting. ALL NATURALL BABY. all about the brroownn skin ;)

anyways, in other news, i've been kind of sort of packing because i'm moving out soon. though i love public toilets and communal showers and 16 sq ft of personal space and curfew and the cannon center and annoying freshmen boys, i'm really ready and even anxious to leave this place! i'm hoping that spring semester doesn't kick my butt and that i find a good job and cool people to hang with and that i get to go home and visit and go to the beach before fall semester starts..but i'm getting ahead of myself...finals start this friday and they're gonna be a pain in my ace, but i think i'll make it through! man oh man i better get to studying, aye? aight, i'm audi 3000... she's got mad skills AND mad control of her voice. she's actually one of india arie's backup singers..which is how i discovered her. then i did some research, subscribed to her youtube channel, watched videos of her and fell in love with her voice! then i added her on facebook cuz she doesnt have a fan page and i was like, gurrll i <3 your voice! and she was like thanks! and i was like, you need a fan page! and she was like, i'm working on it;) and i was like, oh my heck! i'm friends with a celebrity! hahaha..lame i know but i was excited and seriously, she's gonna be famous one day. she writes songs, sings, and plays some guitar. talented much? yes.

he huaka'i aloha: the journey of love & sacrifice

lu'au was awesome! this years theme was about the church being brought to the islands of the pacific(hence the title). i think the pictures basically say it all. twas fun. way glad i did it. discovered a cuzin, made some friends, and i got to dance my culture with my sis and bro. sweet az cuz! CHURR!

i actually went to enrichment last night. we were making headbands with flowers on them....so i didnt really participate cuz im not into that whole conforming thing. i swear, everyone and their mom has a giant flower on their head. you know like those ones people put on their babies and toddlers? yeah theyre cute on babies and toddlers..not so much on grown 22 year old college students. that's just MY opinion. i'm sure it looks good on some people but this....

anyways! decisions decisions...some days, i am the most decisive person. i know what i want and do it. some days, i am as indecisive as lindsay lohan's hair color(honestly, is she a blonde, brunette or a ginge?)

so how do i decide?
A)flip of a coin?
B)ask a magic eight ball?
C)read my horoscope?
D)it is written?
okay so none of the above are good enough, though i have used some methods to make some decisions...advice: don't flip a coin, whatever you do(did you know it's actually not always 50-50 chance depending on the coin? yepp true). anyways, important decisions can't be left up to chance. especially the ones i'm making these days. spring and summer semester or just summer? this condo or that one? business marketing major or..family home science(LOLZ..i would never)? to be or not to be? (that is the question)
SO this is going nowhere..

i guess i just need to find the right path to steer myself down. grandmother willow would say "listen with your heart, you will understand." and i do like taking advice from talking trees...SO i guess i'll go with that! or i could be as awesome as amy poehler and just be like, "i'm gonna make my decision. i've made my decision. decision made" and then say whatever comes out first.

What's my view on Valentine's Day you ask? WELL
Valentine's Day is an excuse for candy. It might as well be Halloween...except everyone wears shades of pink and red and purple instead of orange and black.. naah im only joking! Valentine's Day isn't that bad. It's actually very nice. Because everybody loves someone and everybody's loved by someone. [deep, i know haha]

My Valentine's Day:
I went to church and then to Rachel's. We then went to dinner at Brittni's parent's house where we had DELISH dinner[chicken parmesan over noodles, heart-shaped rolls, salad with homemade croutons, and corn] and DELISH dessert[homemade lemon bars with powdered sugar, raspberries, and whip cream]. We also gave each other cute[and thoughtful..] little valentine cards, played pool, ate candy, and watched the winter Olympics. When i got back dorm, i found a candy valentine from the girls across the hall and a valentine's card that my roomie made me! Sweetness! :)

My President's Day:
I woke up, did some homework. Then Rachel came and got me and we got gas at costco and groceries at macey's. Then we went to her place and made broccoli and cheese soup and studied and listened to music and made sugar cookies and a quesadilla and hung out. Yaayyy! Also, the weather was nice. Not cold enough for snow so it rained a bit. And i LOVE the rain. Now, I needa do homework! Goodbye everybody and nobody!
